The first insurgency occurred in Heaven when Lucifer and his cohorts attempted to dethrone God.  Can you imagine—overthrow the almighty God, the creator of Heaven and Earth?!!  Now, that is what you call “a lot of nerves”! However, their movement was definitely crushed and the insurgents expelled from Heaven. 

Since Satan and his fallen angels were given N.T.R from Heaven, to date they are still living in exile on this earth. It has been centuries since they were kicked out.  Considering the reason for their expulsion from Heaven, have you ever wondered about the activities of those undesirable aliens since then; their agenda; who is providing lodging, support and so forth? 

Well, if you are still wondering, just turn to the book of Job.  In a conversation with the Devil, God asked him about his whereabouts:  Job 1:7: And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, “From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.” Did you hear that?  “Going to and fro in the earth”!  And not only going to and fro but also seeking whom he may devour.  1 Peter 5:9: Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.

There you go!  Satan and his cohorts are roaming the earth with an urgent and evil agenda. They need accommodation and support.  Do not think for one moment that they are confined to a gated community or a five-star hotel in modern day Sodom and Gomorrah or any other immoral city.  Listen! They are homeless and knocking about.  They are desperately searching for homes.  Finding a Real Estate Agent is not on their agenda because they are not interested in buying or renting. They are destructive squatters and the kind of home they seek is the human heart.

The forces of darkness are abnormal house hunters.  They have an eccentric preference for homes.  Do you know what makes a home attractive to them?   Sin! Yes, sin is all they need to move in without your approval.   Sin attracts the forces of darkness like decaying flesh attracts vultures.  Do not make your heart appealing and accessible. When we dwell in sin, we automatically embrace the forces of darkness. Sin is the best amenity we could ever provide the enemy. Sin makes them comfortable. When the enemy starts to feel comfortable with us then it is time for a serious spiritual overhaul.

SIN MAKES US POWERLESS

As Christians, sin separates us from God and when we are separated from God, we are powerless.  This state of powerlessness makes us susceptible to the attacks and manipulation of the enemy.   It grants the devil license to operate without restraint in our lives. It is only because of God’s grace and mercy that we have not yet been utterly destroyed by the Devil.  Thank God! Isn’t God good?  Of course God is good but shall we continue in sin so that grace may abound?  Certainly not! Let us not exploit the grace of God. 

The forces of darkness possess similar traits to Oscar the Grouch on the Children’s television program, Sesame Street.  Oscar lives in a trash can with a nasty attitude. He loves garbage; garbage makes him very happy.  Well, that is the same way the enemy feels when he is hanging with a sinful person. If your heart is overloaded with sin, then you are providing first class accommodation to the forces of darkness.  They are looking for sin-infested and repulsive homes to reside in.  Would that sort of home be your heart?

Remember that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit and not an exotic resort for evil forces. Do not grant them lodging—not even temporary.  Whenever they show up, tell them that you are fully booked with a very special guest; the Holy Spirit.

BE ALERT, THE ENEMY IS VERY CUNNING

Hold on to the “fully booked” strategy because Satan and his cohorts are very aggressive and devious. When you give them an inch, they will take a yard. They will begin a subtle invasion; commencing with evil ideas and suggestions. In your own best interest, do not entertain or play around with unconstructive thoughts and ideas. 

During their subtle invasion, you will begin to lose your moral sensitivity.  They will attempt to silence your conscience and harden your heart.  The enemy will make you feel that it is okay to tell a lie as long as it is a white lie.   Listen my friend; don’t be fooled. There is no such thing as a black or white lie.  A lie is a lie and it doesn’t matter how you term it. Whatever comes from Satan is always evil to the core.  Bear in mind that there is no such thing as “harmless” evil.

When you accept a lying demon, be prepared to accommodate the entire evil entourage as well; demons of stealing, fornication, adultery, hatred, murder, etc. Don’t think that they will stop at that.  No, it is only the beginning of a hostile take over. Soon after, they will introduce you to Playboy magazines; then Pornography before you realize it, you are hooked. To add the icing to the cake, lust follows; then rape and BANG!—the finale to the making of a serial killer.

It is no joke!  Our adversary, the devil is very subtle in his maneuvers. Watch and Pray!  Even if it is in the heat of the moment, as long as you have given place to them, they will not rest until they have taken over you completely.  Their main objective is to gradually occupy our hearts and possess us completely—turning us into enemies of God.  That way, when we die as their allies, we forfeit all of the promises of God.  One good turn deserves another; right? Well, guess what?  It will be their turn to accommodate us—and in no other place but Hell!

Be it jealously, hatred, revenge, womanizing, pornography, homosexuality, adultery, etc, just know this; all of these evil habits do not happen overnight.  They start as a thought or a suggestion from the enemy. As you keep accommodating their ideas and acting upon them without any resistance, you are right where they want you.  You are now like a puppet on a string manipulated by the enemy.  They consider you a push over and have decided to stay for good.  It does not matter whether your initial arrangement was to grant them temporary stay in the beginning; they are now pushing for permanent residency.

LOOSING YOUR MORAL SENSITIVITY

When the enemy is granted permanent residency, you will have no conscience at all; can’t tell right from wrong anymore.  Your moral insensitivity is now in the full-blown stage.  Sin now rules.  Overall, sin seems right to you and when sin seems right, the capacity to sense guilt is almost non-existent.  Then you feel as if there is no need to seek forgiveness from God.  After all, you strongly believe that you are not doing anything wrong.  Oh, child of God, may you never get to that point.

To ensure that you remain in that “Zombie” state, the enemy will keep you away from Church and Bible study as well as good people. They will make you hate anything that is Godly.  You will loose your capacity to function as a true Christian—finally earning the “Most Useless Christian of the Year” award.  Oh, will the Devil have a field day kicking you around like a football!  As a child of God, Jesus gave you authority over the power of the enemy.  When you become an ally of the devil, you loose that authority.

DO NOT MESS AROUND WITH SIN

As an ally of Satan, you are guilty of aiding and abetting the forces of darkness.  You are now living very dangerously—dead man walking. You could die at any moment and go to Hell. My friend, it is fatal to live in sin. Do not take sin for granted! Hell is real and it is a horrible place to spend eternity.

Believe it or not; whatever bad habit you have, there is a demon behind it.

• If you are a liar - you are aiding and abetting a lying demon

• Womanizer – you are aiding and abetting a womanizing demon

• Can’t forgive – demon of unforgiveness

• A jealous person – demon of jealously

• A hateful person – demon of hatred

• Unfaithful to your spouse - demon of adultery

• A Fornicator – demon of fornication

• Love to gossip – gossiping demon

• Homosexual –  gay demon

If you are all of the above then you are not only aiding and abetting the enemy, you are 100% possessed. It is time for an exorcism.

All of the demons roaming about the earth have various assignments to carry out.  Only with your help they will succeed.  Now that you know all of this, will you continue to accommodate them? 

EXPEL THE FORCES OF DARKNESS

It does not matter what kind of accommodation you have provided or how long their stay has been, don’t offer them on more night with you.  Don’t even grant them D.E.D.  Expel them without delay. No compromise!  Eject them.  Seek help in doing so – go for deliverance and counseling.

Acknowledge that you are a sinner. Get rid of sin. Repent! Confess your sins daily; known and unknown.  Never go to bed without confessing your sins to God. Remember, the devil needs sin in order to be effective in our lives.  Without sin, it would be impossible for him to control us.

Try not to sin again. It is a major step towards expelling the forces of darkness. We all know that it is not easy.  No one is exempt from temptation; we face temptation everyday of our lives.  Everywhere you go there is some agent of Satan waiting to tempt you; at work, at school, in traffic, in the parking lot and even in the church. We must pray that God delivers us from all evil.

If you feel that you have in some way accommodated the forces of darkness, it is not too late to expel them. Call on Jesus.  He came to set the captives free.  You were on his mind when he went to the cross and shed his precious blood.   He did not do all of this just for Satan to walk all over you. Jesus loves you too much and he wants to set you free.

Can two walk together except they be agreed? No way!  Don’t accommodate Satan and his fallen angels.  You are not their type! You are a child of God!  Give your life to Christ.  Not part of it; all of it.  He will then come in and dwell with you.  Offer him your heart, mind and body.  Put an end to aiding and abetting the enemy.
